Our history
In 1997 Mr. Will Evans founded The Purist Company from a small factory in Katoomba in the heart of the Blue Mountains in Sydney, Australia. The Purist Company is an innovative Australian creator, developer and marketer of naturally based, safe (paraben and sulfate free) skin, hair and body products.
In 1997, Mr Will Evans experimented and refined his formulations until he was satisfied that The Purist Company products combined the latest in scientific knowledge with the best ingredients nature can supply. In 1998, he launched body washes into the Australian marketplace. Easy to use and gentle to the skin, the body wash was developed to replace soap and to be versatile enough to be used as a shower gel, bubble bath, hand wash and a gentle wash for delicate clothing.
In 2004, The Purist Company spread to international markets including the USA and UK. Launching into the international market stimulated wider global interest and today, The Purist Company exports to Brunei, China, Hong Kong, Korea, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, UK and USA with a view to expanding to new markets in the future.
In April 2006 The Purist Company was jointly commended at the ‘New Woman’ beauty awards in the UK. [A’kin] White Tea & Cornflower, Soothing & Relaxing Eye Day Gel was commended by UK beauty experts in the best new skincare product (mass brands) category.
Our products
[A’kin] products are always produced to the highest quality and are manufactured in a facility approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).
Mr. Will Evans often uses groundbreaking new ingredients when developing formulations for [A’kin] products. Recent innovations have been the use of Echium oil (vipers bugloss oil), the richest known source of Omega 3 essential fatty acids, and alpha lipoic acid - the most powerful anti-oxidant as feature ingredients in our [A’kin] skin care range. The formulations are developed to be self-preserving to a degree, by using pharmaceutical quality water, essential oils and other natural strategies.
The Purist Company carefully researches the needs of our customers and develops [A’kin] products in response to changes in customer demands.
